I read that story too Cudz. Not knowing exactly what has happened, I can only guess at the situation. I think there is a high possibility the man being very honest told the DWP he could walk a certain distance. What he probably forgot to tell them, is if he still has problems when walking, such as constant pain and fatigue. If you find at some point you can walk, be that with a walking stick or prosthetic leg and have no difficulties using the aid, your benefits are stopped. If you can use these aids to help you walk, but still suffer problems you are still entitled to benefits. _________________ (\_/)

WT problems are worse when you keep them to yourself , i know this from my past .
Your GP sounds kind , caring and understanding , so tell her .
As for feeling guilty don't , take it from me .

Thanks Cuddles. Not feeling great today. Had a bit of an ordeal on Thursday (not to do with this) and it has not done me a lot of good. In fact I have become pretty ill through it has triggered my mental health issues. Anyway yes I think you a right I should tell my GP it's just I feel guilty for being so ill all the time. |

I can sympathise with you there. It seems benefits are conditional to which way the wind blows half of the time. It's no wonder our nerves are bad! _________________ www.a1schnauzer.web.officelive.com |

I get just as frustrated and worried when I have to fill out these forms. when you complain to them you are not cured nor ever will be, they just quote the rules. They say it's so they can make sure you are getting all the benefits your entitled to. But we all know that's not true, it's too see if they can take you off the benefits. Thank the government - past and present for this hassle. _________________ (\_/)

Wildthing , i think i can answer you this !!
You , and other people get sent letters , not because of who you are , or what you got , it is because of all the low lives out their that con the system , they say that they can not walk , but they can RUN !! They say they have a bad back , however they can push a caravan up the driveway . they win on bingo and RUN to the front to claim their £100 , they didnt need their walking stick for that .
You are one of the genuine people , but you have to suffer because of the people above .
Do as you wrote , see your GP and get her to write a letter back to them , she could tell them it is causing you stress , just like you said above .
Sending hugs

Bit nervous and wound up...the DWP sent me a form to fill in today to see how my condition is now. This usually happens in my experience before they call me for another medical. I don't get why they keep doing this to me. I have obviously told them I have a degenerative condition. What do they expect will happen? That I will improve with age? Was thinking of seeing my GP (am due to see her anyway) and asking her if she will write me a quick note to ask them not to call me up for another miedical as it is causing me stress. I have enough problms on my plate to worry about without them adding to it all. Scard stiff they'll see me, mess up the report and cut me off.
