I have had 2 payments so far. Really need them in this weathr, especially when I have a gas mete to feed (It eats more than Uggy does. lol)
Jo I have to agree with you about the £200 cold weather payment the OAP receive. I dont begrudge them it, but we need it as much if not more in some cases. What I didnt know until my friend turned60, is they still get the £25 cold weather payments if the weather is below freezing for a week.

Thanks for the information hun.
I was only discussing this with someone the other day and saying how discusting it is that disabled people don't qualify fo the £200 cold weather payments, as they are under 60 and in receipt of DLA. At least this will help towards the extra heating costs

The same is happening where i live rachel they are saying they only have enough grit to last until the weekend my road is still thick with snow and theres more to come  |

This is a good idea...our government stick their fingers up at all those on Social Welfare.
We're having terrible trouble here with councils not getting off their backsides and gritting all the roads. We've had this weather for 4 weeks now and I have yet to see a road gritted! Apparently they are running out of salt and have no real alternative that they like...sand just isnt good enough...according to them! ggrrrr i HATE this government!
